OUTSIDE FINISHING OFF

Plastic off Upstairs  / Downstairs Windows:

Whilst the double story scaffolding is still up, the plastic protectors needs to be removed from the upstairs windows. These windows then need to be cleaned to remove the render or mortar splatters.

Plastic under soffits:

Plastic then needs to be put under the soffits to fill the gap between the soffit and the windows – this finishes off the aesthetic look.

Scaffolding Down:

The scaffolding can now be removed by the company that you’ve hired it from.

Services Connected:

The services can now be connected to the property to allow the second fix plumbing and electrics to be completed.

Paving Slabs Laid:

The groundworkers can now lay the outside paving slabs and any disabled access ramps as necessary. Once these are laid and set, the underside would then need to be painted with the same colour as the house.

Tarmacking:

Once the paving slabs have been laid, the outside should be mainly finished of the ‘dirty’ work. Now the tarmacking can be prepared with the back edgers for parking. The groundworkers should clear the site of their equipment and then the tarmacking company can come in and lay the base layer and second coat.

Fencing:

Depending on what you are including in the ‘sale package’, now is the time to complete the fencing. This is always one of the last jobs to do as yourself or the buyer may change their mind of where they want it positioned.
